{ Stealing? I don’t think so. There’s really
nothing positive to say about California as a (w)hole! Only jersey is worse! http://albertpeia.com/calihole.htm
And, as recently as the Reagan ‘80’s
that was not nearly the case concerning California which has fallen fast and
far. }
‘A
study released Monday finds that California, once the ultimate destination of
millions of Americans dreaming of a better life, has been losing millions
of its citizens to other states over the past 20 years.
The
report, by the Manhattan Institute, found that California’s net outflow of population has topped 3.4 million
over the past two decades.
And
those people have taken billions of dollars in taxable income with them, only
exacerbating California’s chronic budget woes.
California’s
overall population does continue to grow, but only because of immigration from
foreign countries and a relatively high birthrate.
The
states seeing the biggest inflows from California are clustered in the South
and Southwest and tend to have lower taxes, and more business friendly
regulations, according to the report. They are:
1.
Texas
2. Nevada
3. Arizona
4. Oregon
5. Washington
6. Colorado
7. Idaho
8. Utah
9. Georgia
10. South Carolina
