Google has corrected the meta tag reference to my website and I assume that their position concerning scanning copyrighted material as would detrimintally affect the publication of books that would assure a buyer of complete and unaltered copy will or has already been similarly rationally resolved. As such this particular page is outdated/obsolete.

You're already getting ad revenue from google.
How much did they pay for your irrational position that promulgates unlawful conduct, damaging not only an important industry, but also be a detriment to education, knowledge, and the pursuit of same? Yours, google's modus operandi is part of america's current global difficulty, euphemistically speaking.
Your company is pathetic, a disgrace, and along with google should be put out of business. Your company has no credibility whatsoever. I have unsubscribed, several times now, from your publications, email and otherwise. I will consider any further spam/"newsletters", etc., harrassment.

I was frankly quite shocked at the naive and speciously reasoned editorial favoring google's continued modus operandi of infringing legal copyrights. Indeed, my direct experience with google is that rather than properly index, ie., a website, they present "snippets" which while purporting to represent the logical search/query result, actually misrepresent the factual information or logical result based on keywords, meta tags, descriptions, etc.. While I was an early proponent of google before search engines became pervasive, the geeks (albeit rich ones - wall street loves companies with processes, business models, etc., the investing public doesn't entirely understand, ie., remember the dot.com bust, selling the sizzle so to speak) at google for a buck or two can and do selectively parse, distribute and censor otherwise important information, changing the flow and complete meaning thereby. There isn't one thing that google does at present that other companies can't do better (I pay attention only because other people might naively use google). I would not trust google to provide a complete and accurate rendition of a book. The chilling effect on creative and original authorship, economically and otherwise, by allowing google's clearly illegal violation of copyright would only serve to further "dumb down" those who thought they were getting the "whole story". A recent example was a one line reference to my name without foundation which elicited the following response from me:

In light of your limitations (borrowing your own term, you're "fooked up"), I only cursorily viewed your post until reaching the reference to me.
While my web sites have been in abeyance abiding resolution of substantial (ie., RICO, etc.)
litigation, for a dose of reality, facts, and truth I suggest you consult

While I realize pandering to the likes of geeks as google might at some point yield advertising revenues for your, I would suspect, "dying publications", a proponent of your company/eweek as I was, I am no longer. Please terminate my subscription without delay since they will find their way to the trash heap without review (and also because I want no association with a company as yours that could fathom such a position as promulgated by your company (I will also unsubscribe the email news feeds).
