The
7th largest economy on the entire planet, Brazil, has been gripped by a
horrifying recession, as has much of the rest of South America. But it
isnt
just South America that is experiencing a very serious economic downturn.
We have just learned that Japan (the third largest economy in the world) has lapsed into recession.
So has Canada. So has Russia. The
dominoes are starting to fall, and it looks like the global economic crisis
that has already started is going to accelerate as we head into the end of the
year. At this point, global trade is already down about 8.4 percent for the year, and last week the
Baltic Dry Shipping Index plummeted to a brand new all-time record low.
Unfortunately for all of us, the Federal Reserve is about to do something that
will make this global economic slowdown even worse. (Read More....)
I was absolutely stunned to learn
that the Baltic Dry Shipping Index had plummeted to a new all-time record low
of 504 at one point on Thursday. I have written a number of articles
lately about the dramatic slowdown in global
trade, but I didnt realize that things had gotten quite this bad
already. Not even during the darkest moments of the last financial crisis
did the Baltic Dry Shipping Index drop this low. Something doesnt seem to be adding up,
because the mainstream media keeps telling us that the global economy is doing
just fine. In fact, the Federal Reserve is so confident in our economic recovery that they are getting
ready to raise interest rates. Of course the truth is that there is no economic recovery on the horizon. In
fact, as I wrote about yesterday, there are signs all around us that are
indicating that we are heading directly into another major economic
crisis. This staggering decline of the Baltic Dry Shipping Index is just
another confirmation of what is directly ahead of us. (Read More....)
If the U.S. economy really is in great shape, then why do all of the
numbers keep telling us that we are in a recession? The manufacturing
numbers say that we are in a recession, the trade numbers say that we are in a recession, and as
you will see below the retail numbers say that we are in a recession. But
just like in 2008, the Federal Reserve and our top politicians will continue to
deny that a major economic downturn is happening for as long as they possibly
can. In this article, I want to look at more signs that a dramatic shift
is happening in our economy right now. (Read More....)
Charlie
Sheens
announcement that he is HIV positive has created a huge uproar as critics
attack him from every direction, but the truth is that Charlie Sheen is simply
a reflection of our society as a whole. You see, the truth is that it isnt just big Hollywood
stars that are engaged in insanely risky sexual behavior. According to
the CDC, there are 110 million cases of sexually-transmitted
disease in America today, and another 20 million STD cases are added to that
total every year. The United States has the highest STD infection rate in the entire
industrialized world, and more than half of all Americans will have a
sexually-transmitted disease at some point during their lives.
Approximately one out of every four teen
girls in the U.S. has at least one sexually transmitted disease, and our nation
spends $16,000,000,000 a year treating STDs. So go ahead and point a finger
at Charlie Sheen if you want, but just remember that he is only a very small
part of a raging national epidemic. (Read More....)
While
the eyes of the world are on ISIS, Russia is creating weapons unlike anything
the world has ever seen before. Plans for a giant self-propelled nuclear
torpedo that can create a giant tsunami more than 1,000 feet tall were recently
leaked
by mistake
by the Russian media. Apparently the warheads on these torpedos are
designed to create so much radiation that everything living will be killed including those that try
to survive the attack by hiding in underground shelters. These robotic mini-submarines would have a range of up
to 10,000 kilometers and would be able to evade all existing U.S. detection
systems. To say that such a weapon would be a game changer would be a massive
understatement. (Read More....)
Words cannot adequately describe
the utter horror that was unleashed on the streets of Paris, France on
Friday. CNN is calling it the worst
violence witnessed in France since World War II, and even though it
happened a couple of days ago now, many of us are still having a really tough
time processing what took place. Somehow, a small group of less than 10
radical Islamists was able to unleash a coordinated wave of attacks that killed
at least 129 people and injured at least 350. All of this comes less than
a year after the Charlie Hebdo massacre in Paris, and many in the western world
are now starting to understand that something has fundamentally changed.
Even though France has a highly advanced anti-terrorism infrastructure, and
even though it also has some of the strictest anti-gun laws in Europe, none of
that did anything to prevent these attacks. Despite all of our advanced
technology, the openness of our society makes us highly vulnerable to Islamic
terror. And as more waves of refugees from the Middle East are absorbed
by both Europe and the United States, it is
inevitable that there will be more attacks like this. (Read More....)
If we truly do want to get rid of ISIS, why arent we doing anything about
the Islamic governments that are funding them, aiding them and facilitating the
sale of their oil? As you will see below, ISIS fighters hop back and forth
over the Turkish border with impunity, there are direct dealings between
Turkish officials and ranking ISIS members, and more than $800,000,000 worth of ISIS oil has
been sold in Turkey. If these things are true, action must be
taken. According to a recent Rasmussen Reports survey, 92
percent of Americans consider Islamic terrorism to be a serious threat to the
United States, and a Washington Post-ABC
News survey found that 83 percent of registered voters believe that a
terror attack that causes a large amount of casualties inside the United States
is likely in the near future. The American people clearly want ISIS to be
dealt with, so why isnt the Obama administration doing anything to go after
the state sponsors of such terror? (Read More...)
Never before have so many acres
burned in America up to this point in the year. I just went and checked
the latest numbers from the
National Interagency Fire Center, and it turns out that we are now on pace
for the worst year for wildfires in all of U.S. history.
So far in 2015, wildfires have burned an astounding 9,799,866 acres.
Before this, the worst year for wildfires was in 2006 when a total of 9,506,582
acres had burned through November 13th. When I last reported on this, we
were still behind 2006s record pace, but now we have surged ahead of
it. Overall, the average for the last 10 years for the number of acres
burned in the U.S. through November 13th is 6,464,947, and so we are more
than 50 percent ahead of that pace right now. Clearly, what we
have been experiencing is highly unusual. Could it be possible that this
is some form of judgment on America? (Read More...)
A soccer game between the national
teams of Germany and the Netherlands was canceled due to terror concerns on
Tuesday, but this is only just the beginning. From now on, very few
people will be able to attend large gatherings in the western world without
thinking about the possibility that they might be shot or blown to bits.
This is how terrorism works it instills fear in people. And that is why
the recent attacks in Paris were so effective. By striking random targets
such as a rock concert, a precedent has been set that an attack can happen
anywhere and at any time. The target does not have to be politically
significant or related to the war on terror in any way. Just a few of
these random attacks would be enough to cause mass paranoia among the hundreds
of millions of people that live in Europe and North America, and now that
radical Islamists are starting to understand this, all hell is breaking loose. (Read More...)
The number 10,000 Syrian refugees is being thrown around a
lot by the mainstream media, but did you know that Barack Obama has actually
publicly declared that the U.S. is going to take in 100,000 refugees from Syria
and elsewhere for each of the next two years? That is an absolutely
massive number, and it is inevitable that some jihadists will slip through the
vetting process. As Syrian refugees enter the United States, they are
being dispersed all around the country. In my article yesterday, I explained that the State Department has
established refugee processing centers in 48 U.S. states. But instead of
the trickle of refugees the
mainstream media is talking about, the truth is that it is going to be more
like a flood. The following is a message that was tweeted by Barack Obamas official Twitter
account on September 28th

Despite
everything that just happened in France, on Sunday the Obama administration made it clear that it still plans to
resettle at least 10,000 Syrian refugees in communities all over the United
States within the next year. Thanks to Obama, the U.S. has already been
absorbing thousands of refugees from the Middle East each year, and as you will
see below, just last week administration officials expressed a desire to increase and accelerate that process. So
far, the list of states that have
received the most refugees includes Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois,
Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, New York, Ohio,
Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin. But by the time
it is all said and done, it is likely that Syrian refugees will end up in
virtually every major city in the United States. The U.S. State
Department has established refugee processing centers in 48 different states,
and you can view the entire list right here. Considering what just
took place in Paris, is this really a good idea? (Read More...)
For
someone that is supposedly so brilliant, Stephen Hawking really doesnt have a clue. In a
recent interview with Spains El Mundo, Hawking publicly declared that God doesnt exist, that he is an
atheist, and that science provides a better explanation of where the universe
came from than the Bible does. While I certainly respect much of the
great work that Hawking has done throughout the years, I dont think that he has
thought through these issues very clearly. As you will see below, it
takes a ridiculous amount of blind faith to believe that the theory of
evolution is true, and the cold, hard evidence clearly points to a
Creator. Unfortunately, to be a respected member of the scientific
establishment today one must fully embrace an evolutionary model for the origin
of life, and at this point Stephen Hawking has left no doubt as to where he
stands. (Read More...)
Something
strange is happening to our planet. Over the past 30 days, there seems to
have been much more shaking than normal, and this is particularly true along the Ring of Fire.
This afternoon I visited the official website
of the U.S. Geological Survey, and I discovered that Chile had been hit
with 12 major earthquakes within the last 24 hours alone. The smallest
was of magnitude 4.4, and the two largest both measured magnitude 6.9. We
have also seen dozens of volcanoes erupt
recently, including the incredibly dangerous Mt. Popocatepetl in Mexico. Fortunately we
have not seen a major disaster that kills thousands of people yet, but many
believe that all of this shaking is leading up to one. In addition, the
weather all over the world continues to get freakier and freakier. Just
today, Yemen was hit by a second major tropical cyclone in less than a week. Any
one of these strange disasters in isolation may not seem like that big of a
deal, but when you start putting all of the pieces together it starts to become
clear that something really significant is taking place. (Read More...)
How
can we possibly be so miserably unhappy? For a nation that supposedly has it all, we sure are
depressed. In America today, suicide rates are soaring, antidepressant
use is skyrocketing and virtually every new survey that comes out shows that we
are deeply dissatisfied about something. But we live at a time when there
are more things to enjoy than ever before. When I was growing up there
was only a handful of television channels to choose from, but now there are
hundreds. We have more movies than we could ever possibly watch, more
books than we could ever possibly read, and the greatest video games ever made
are at our fingertips. With all of the entertainment that surrounds us,
you would think that Americans would be happier than ever before, and yet we
continue to become even more depressed. Everywhere I go, I see people
that look like they have had the life completely sucked out of them. So
why is this happening? The following are 21 signs that Americans are the
unhappiest people in the entire world

All
over America, the middle class is dying and poverty is on the rise. One of the
primary reasons for this is the rapidly rising cost of living in the United
States. The cost of just about everything that average families shell out
money for on a regular basis food, rent, health insurance, etc. is rising much faster
than wages are. In a previous article I noted that the federal poverty
level for a family of five is $28,410, but 51 percent of all American workers are making less than $30,000 a year at
this point. We have seen an explosion in the number of people in this
country that are considered to be the working poor and it gets worse with each passing year. (Read More...)
